More pots and a few experiments.

I made up some frothy grey glaze with silicon carbide that went a bit wild in the kiln!!! but kinda looks ok.
This is my first go at Sgraffito technique and glaze recipes used by Yo Thom.
Many thanks to Yo.
Well I achieved alchemy, turning base metals into GOLD. The pot had a  green copper coating . I thought it would not stay green as I had heard it would have a hint of bronze, but gold, excellent.

Below more pots from this week  and plants from Craig Barber

Also "Dirty Gerty" got a new paint job and is now Gorgeous Gertrude

Just put some more pots into for biscuit fire today , looking forward to firing these off tomorrow.
Thought a hanging fissure pots will work for my ceropegia.
This is my first attempt, quite pleased with the result. I have over 40 varieties of ceropegia and need a good way to display them.

just trying a few rooting C.radicans in the pot

Ceropegia Simoneae green form, growing very quickly now

The Ceropegia Simoneae was the reason I got into this. Bought this one about 8 months ago and now it is 3 times the length. Fantastic plant. I also have bought 43 varieties ceropegia now as I love them.

So, there you go, it has been an interesting last few months since I got my wheel and kiln. I guess it has been about 3 months I have been trying to start pottery but eventually I am reasonably happy with my first results.
