Succulents and pottery by Chilli: This is where it starts!!!

Hi all,
thought you might like to follow my new adventure. I am based in Glossop Derbyshire England

I would like to make the blog interesting with carefully taken pictures of some of my plants, this entry however, is a random set of happy snaps of my bedroom attic full of my newly found hobby of succulents ( started about 3 months now) and my desire to make pots that suit the plants. Inspired by this potter I found, who collected succulents then made the pots to fit.

Hope you find my combination of the pottery and succulents interesting. It will be a long time in the making.
This is where I do my usual thing and run before I can crawl!!!
Ok , I have only had 3 pottery lessons so far, but heck, I have made a pot pig!! so obviously this weekend i spent about £1100 on a second hand kiln and a massive potters wheel, ironic as i will only be making small pots and the thing weighs in at over 16 stone!!! You can see by my car, the tyres nearly touched the rims!!

Anyhow this is my bedroom with the plants I have obtained mainly in the last 3 months, I had a few other jungle plants up there and a huge oak branch strapped to my banister already but the succulents and the ceropegia are new. ( I hope to collect as many ceropegia as possible, I have obtained about 12 different types so far but would love to find more if you can help)

These are a few of my green friends I would like to make crack pots for.
Crack pots are kind of bonsai pots but more earthy and bark/dry clay looking. Similar but not quite accent pots. See the link to the potter above for the style I hope to achieve.

I also like taking close ups and more detailed shots of my plants.
